Scope
Member of process engineering team specializing in process controls and instrumentation for demo and commercial scale facilities.
Minimum Requirements
• BS/MS Degree in Engineering with relevant coursework in process controls.
• 10-15 years relevant technical experience with a minimum 5+ years experience in process controls in a chemical processing environment such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, or refining.
• Significant experience in the design, programming, installation, and operation of PLC based process controls.
• Significant experience with process instrumentation such as temperature, pressure and flow measurements.
• Experience in online chemical analysis equipment such as CEMS, GC, or equivalent.
• Experience developing instrumentation and control loops for chemical processes including level-to-flow cascades, incorporation of chemical analysis instrumentation into control loops, and safety alarms and cutouts.
• Experience in data logging and data storage preferred.
• Independent worker who requires minimal direction.
• Able to adapt to fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Select and integrate online process control instrumentation including pressure, temperature, flow, and chemical analysis.
• Develop control systems for Calera plants at all scales including pilot, demo and commercial including control system design, equipment/platform selection, programming, implementation and maintenance.
• Develop data logging and logistics controls systems consistent with Calera lot release criteria protocols.
• Develop SOPs for control systems.
