Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Department: Electrochemical Operations
Reports to: Director of Electrochemical Operations
Location: Moss Landing, CA

Scope
Moss Landing Cement Company is seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer who will have design, procurement, and construction management responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
• Project manage controls electrical power architecture and deployment for electrochemical plants (may require travel)
• Integrate with Calera R&D team as well as operational team to adopt rapidly developing technologies
• Oversee contractor management as required
• Work with vendors and contractors and in-house engineers and scientists on timely installation of equipment and construction
• Work to deadlines
• Perform power optimization research
• Provide detailed reports and analysis on work, including report segments suitable for investor/grant applications and presentations to senior management
• Add to the safety culture at Calera
• Produce standard operating procedures and other technical instructions
• Provide on-call technical assistance to plant operations

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelors Degree in Engineering
• 8+ years related experience for candidates with Bachelors degree, or 4+ years related experience for candidates with Masters Degree
• Strong design and analytical skills
• Diligent, self motivated and detail oriented
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience with contractor management
• Experience with high voltage systems
• Experience with transformer/rectifier or power generation facilities design desired
• Thorough understanding and ability to work to electrical codes

Moss Landing Cement Company (MLCC) was founded in May 2008 to develop new cement processing methods that are friendly to our environment.
