Job Title: Senior Process Design Scientist/Engineer – Water Separation Technology

Education: Mechanical/Chemical Engineer or Chemist

Experience: 10+ years directly related experience

Scope
Previous experience in the process design of water systems including ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, reverse osmosis and desalination is required.

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelors Degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years experience directly in water systems design.
• Strong knowledge in ROSA, Winflows, Toray, IMSdesign or equivalent.
• Lead the design and construction of large scale water treatment systems.
• MF/UF & NF/RO plant fundamentals and components.
• Detailed working knowledge on advanced membrane separation.
• Divalent/monovalent water separation expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design and integration of water treatment systems into a novel industrial process.
• Develop capital cost and operating cost models to determine the best equipment and mode of operation for different unit processes.
• Developing a salt recovery plan from high TDS water sources.
• Oversee the operation of water filtration units at pilot and demonstration scale.
• Coordinate with the process technology and process engineering team in the development of process flow diagrams.
• Responsible for writing sections of grant applications with respect to water treatment and processing.
• Advance concept evaluations.
